About Our Organization
About the 2nd San Diego Walk For Darfur:
We are a grassroots group of concerned San Diegans who have come together to help make a difference for the people of the Darfur region of Sudan. They have been severely traumatized by the region’s ongoing violence. American Jewish World Service is the host organization of the San Diego Walk for Darfur, but this Walk is open to the entire San Diego community.
Our goal is twofold: raise community awareness by having 2,000 walkers from all over Southern California and raise $100,000 for American Jewish World Service, so they will be able to continue to provide psychosocial services to children and victims of violence in west Darfur.
You can make a difference by walking, getting your friends and family to walk and donating money to help the people of Darfur. In years to come, when your children ask what you did to help the people of Darfur, what will your answer be?
