You Can Do More! Walk For Darfur!

TAKE THE NEXT STEP!

THANKS SAN DIEGO FOR AN AMAZING WALK! DONATIONS FOR THE 2ND SAN DIEGO WALK FOR DARFUR ARE NOW CLOSED.

PLEASE GO TO WWW.AJWS.ORG TO MAKE A DONATION TO HELP THE PEOPLE OF DARFUR OR GO TO WWW.SAVEDARFUR.ORG TO GET THE LATEST ON THE SITUATION IN DARFUR AND LEARN WHAT ELSE YOU CAN DO TO HELP STOP THE GENOCIDE.

Participating in the 2nd San Diego Walk For Darfur is a great way to get actively involved in this cause. This is a family oriented event perfect for everyone -- all age groups and fitness levels. You can choose to run, jog, or walk approximately 2 or 4 miles in the beautiful setting of San Diego's beautiful De Anza Cove in Mission Bay Park. Unfortunately, dogs are NOT allowed at the Walk according to park rules.

This great event offers a chance to spend a meaningful morning with friends and family, and the extended San Diego Community as we raise funds for an extremely important cause. There will be refreshments and entertainment; at the finish line we will gather for a rally that shall include a keynote address by Rabbi Lee Bycel, humanitarian and Executive Director of the Western Region of American Jewish World Service (AJWS).

In addition, awards will be given out to honor the individuals and teams with the most funds raised! More details of Local Celebrities and Entertainment to come. Each registered participant receives a colorful, top-quality commemorative t-shirt.

The money raised by the walk will be used by American Jewish World Service to continue providing psychosocial services to children and victims of violence in west Darfur.

American Jewish World Service's mission is to alleviate poverty, hunger and disease among poor people in developing countries regardless of race, religion or nationality. Through grants to grassroots organizations, volunteer service, advocacy and education, AJWS fosters civil society, sustainable development and human rights for all people, while promoting the values and responsibility of global citizenship within the Jewish community.

All donations are tax deductible to the full extent of the law; the AJWS has received tax exempt status as a publicly supported organization as provided by the Internal Revenue Code under section 501(c) (3) and the California Revenue and Taxation Code 23701 (d). For the seventh straight year in a row, AJWS is the recipient of the four-star rating from Charity Navigator in recognition of their excellent record of fiscal responsibility. AJWS also has an "A" rating from the American Institute of Philanthrophy and it is also a BBB Accredited Charity.

Unfortunately, dogs are NOT allowed at the Walk according to park rules.
